Role details

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Artisan-trained Diesel Plant Fitter or General Plant Fitter. Minimum 2 years' post-trade experience , including supervisory or Chargehand-level responsibilities. Proven experience leading a maintenance team, delegating tasks and monitoring performance. Strong mechanical fault-finding, troubleshooting and repair capabilities. Practical experience with preventative maintenance planning and execution. Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge. Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport to Bokfontein. Willingness to work overtime, weekends and attend after-hours breakdowns when required. HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS Trade-tested qualification (Red Seal). Experience in agricultural, manufacturing or processing environments. Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations. Experience with maintenance management systems and technical record-keeping. WORKING HOURS & ENVIRONMENT Monday to Friday: 07:00-17:00 , subject to operational requirements. This is a hands-on position within a farm-based production facility. Maintenance work frequently needs to be performed outside normal production hours.
